Economic Summit 2021: Carpe the Chaos

Over 300 individuals from across the community joined us at our virtual Economic Summit to discuss recovery and restoration of our business community. We packed our sessions full of incredible speakers and critical topics, giving members opportunities to collaborate on relevant issues. Definitely an event for the books!

Southwest Airlines Comes to Eugene

Courting Southwest Airlines to consider our region has been a process 10 years in the making! Coordinating with community partners, like Travel Lane County, the University of Oregon, and many more, we were able to successfully land the plane on this deal- pun intended. The Eugene Airport is a staple in this community, and we were honored to participate in this victory.

International Women’s Day

On International Women’s Day, our Chamber CEO traversed the region to capture the testimonies of 13 powerful women in our community. They offered authentic wisdom and business insights, ultimately emphasizing the importance of community and working together.

Team Bonding through the Arts

Many of our staff learned a new skill writing computer code necessary to create fantastic and colorful Zoom backgrounds! Thanks to the ABAE program, Arts During Hours, we had a wonderful time bonding and creating art.

Endeavor Eugene

Endeavor means “a goal worth striving for.” It’s not only a goal but a priority for us to better support the BIPOC community and ensure their success in business and beyond. We were proud to introduce our new program Endeavor, focusing on moving our equity, inclusion, and diversity work forward with the support of our title sponsor, Kaiser Permanente.

Finding Solutions to Homeless Crisis

Our staff has participated in more than 65 meetings since March 1st with businesses, city and county staff, service providers, neighborhoods, advocates, experts in other cities to address the issues surrounding homelessness in the community. It’s a multifaceted issue that will require community collaboration, and we are actively advocating for solutions to solve this crisis.
